The Stables Cafe & Shop

Nestled in a quiet but charming corner of Cornwall, the old stable yard of Port Eliot estate is home to The Stables cafe, Elephant bar and adjoining shop filled with quirky personality and a true sense of community.

We focussed on content creation including photography, marketing material design, social media management on a day to day basis with a focus on developing organic growth within the local community that translates into real footfall and repeat custom. We do this by keeping up our community engagement within local groups, open and honest communications, timely posts and inbox monitoring and a relatable manner.

Our approach is to immerse ourselves as much as possible into the dynamics of the business. We endeavour to get to know our clients on a personal level to develop a deeper understanding of the business and share the same passion that’s got them to where they are today.

The Stables team made this easy. Over the past 10 months of working alongside them we’ve developed friendships and become part of the team. This has informed our ethos as a consultancy, in that for marketing to truly work it should reflect real relationships with clients. Trust and effective communication are at the forefront of everything we do.

The Positive People Project

The Positive People project informed a large chunk of our early development as a consultancy. The National Lottery & ESF funded programme aimed at supporting people in hard to reach demographics to overcome barriers to work, education and training. The project was delivered across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset with the engagement of various stakeholder organisations.

We focussed on undertaking market research, informing campaign development which included all design of marketing materials and brand development, campaign outreach and community engagement.

One of our largest campaigns undertaken began during the national rollout of social prescribing in the UK. In partnership with NHS Kernow we embarked upon the task of developing an entirely new campaign for Positive People social prescribing where GPs and other support agencies may refer to the project and its partners to support people with their health and wellbeing.

Past Projects

The Positive People Project involved building & developing the brand design and tone of voice to engage with a varied demographic. Dan & I worked with the client to create a catalogue of marketing materials to meet with brand & funder guidance. Many of our projects involved extensive market research, community engagement and outreach, event attendance, networking and stakeholder coordination.
